High-performance imaging and autofocus

Equipped with a back-illuminated Sony IMX708 stacked CMOS sensor, this camera provides rapid Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) alongside built-in 2D Dynamic Defect Pixel Correction. It supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) modes up to 3 megapixels for capturing balanced images in varied lighting conditions.

Raspberry Pi hardware compatibility

This camera is compatible with Raspberry Pi computers using the standard CSI-2 serial interface. Please note that connecting to a Raspberry Pi 5 or Raspberry Pi Zero requires a separate adapter cable.

Form factor and mechanical design

The module maintains the standard 25 by 24 mm PCB footprint and mounting hole spacing of the Camera Module 2, with an overall height of 11.5 mm to accommodate the advanced autofocus lens assembly.
