Proto Board - FireBeetle Covers

The FireBeetle Covers-Proto Board is a dedicated prototyping expansion board designed for the low-power DFRobot FireBeetle IoT ecosystem. It provides makers, students, and engineers with an accessible platform for soldering custom components and creating overlay circuits. Its compact form factor makes it ideal for developing neat, stackable IoT hardware nodes.

Standard 2.54mm solder grid

The board features a 14x7 grid of standard 2.54mm pitch solder holes to accommodate a wide variety of through-hole electronic components. Dedicated VCC, 3.3V, and GND soldering pads provide direct power routing from the master controller.

Overlay circuit prototyping

Engineered specifically for the FireBeetle series, this expansion board allows seamless stacking on top of FireBeetle main controller boards. The plug-and-play layout simplifies the creation of compact, multi-layered circuit designs.

Compact and lightweight design

Measuring 29.00 x 58.00 mm and weighing only 18 g, the board maintains a minimal footprint suitable for space-constrained enclosures. It offers an effective, low-profile vehicle for permanent and semi-permanent hardware builds.

Versatile IoT project applications

The proto board integrates smoothly with FireBeetle ESP32 controllers to build smart lighting, wearable step counters, and BLE-controlled appliances. It provides the solderable space needed to interface external sensors, displays, and relay modules.

Included pin header hardware

Each board is packaged with four standard 18-pin 2.54mm pin headers and four long 18-pin 2.54mm pin headers. This supplied hardware allows you to customise stacking height and connection styles to match your project needs.
