Description
The Power Shield for Arduino is a stackable DC power management expansion board that steps down a 4.5V to 35V input into an adjustable 1.25V to 12V output. Capable of delivering up to 2A continuous and 3A peak current, it is an ideal solution for students, makers, and robotics developers powering multi-voltage projects.
Wide adjustable voltage output
This shield converts a 4.5V to 35V input supply into a precisely regulated 1.25V to 12V output. It allows a single development setup to supply diverse components such as servos, sensors, and non-standard electronic modules.
Analogue voltage monitoring on pin A0
Built-in voltage sensing maps the output voltage directly to Arduino analogue pin A0. This enables microcontrollers to measure live supply conditions via firmware for diagnostic feedback and closed-loop power supervision.
Digital switching control via pin 13
The board features digital power switching controlled directly through digital pin 13. Firmware can turn the power output on or off programmatically to support power gating, energy conservation, and controlled startup sequences.

High efficiency and peak output
Delivering up to 90% DC conversion efficiency, the regulator handles 2A continuous current with 3A peak capability and a maximum power output of 15W (3A at 5V). This provides robust, stable power delivery for demanding robotics loads.
Built for robotics and prototyping
The stackable design streamlines power distribution across multi-voltage sensor arrays, actuator assemblies, and educational electronics projects without cluttering your prototyping workspace.
