PICAXE AXE091U Experimenter Starter Kit with USB Cable

The PICAXE AXE091U Experimenter Starter Kit is a versatile development platform designed for hands-on electronics and microcontroller projects. Supplied with a PICAXE-18M2 chip and USB download cable, its open layout supports the entire range of PICAXE microcontrollers. It is an ideal learning and prototyping system for students, educators, and makers.

On-board sensors and inputs

The assembled board is equipped with three LED indicator outputs, three digital switch inputs, and analogue inputs via an LDR and preset resistor. It also integrates an infra-red sensor and a DS18B20 digital temperature sensor for immediate testing.

Connectivity and expansion

The board features RS232 and serial connectors with true MAX202 buffering, alongside a keyboard connector. Dedicated sockets are also provided for adding optional I2C and SPI memory chips or a DS1307 real-time clock.

Power and programming

An on-board regulated power supply with an LED indicator allows powering via the included battery box or a separate external power supply. Programming is supported using free tools such as PICAXE Programming Editor or Logicator for PIC Micros.
