Description
The PICAXE-08 Motor Driver Board is a compact project board designed to drive up to two reversible DC motors or four individual digital outputs using an 8-pin PICAXE chip. Supplied with both a PICAXE-08M2 microcontroller and an L293D driver IC, it provides flexible control options for robotics and automation builds. It is an ideal platform for students, educators, and hobbyists developing interactive electromechanical projects.
Versatile power and motor outputs
The board features four digital power outputs capable of directly powering components like signal lamps and buzzers. Configured in pairs, these outputs provide forward, reverse, and stop control for up to two DC motors.
Flexible digital inputs
One or two digital input controls can connect directly to manual switches, microswitches wired in parallel, or infrared receivers for remote operation. The inputs can also accept signals from another PICAXE microcontroller for multi-board setups.
Chip compatibility and included hardware
The board functions with any 8-pin PICAXE chip and comes supplied with both the PICAXE-08M2 and L293D integrated circuits. It is compatible with any software application that supports standard PICAXE hardware.
