Description

The miniQ 2WD Robot Chassis is a compact, circular mobile platform engineered for classroom robotics, maker experimentation, and desktop prototyping. Driven by high-speed metal gear motors, it delivers agile navigation across flat surfaces and obstacle courses. It is ideal for students, educators, and hobbyists building maze-solving robots and autonomous navigation experiments.

Agile circular chassis layout

The 122mm diameter circular body reduces edge collisions when turning and navigating confined spaces, making it well-suited for maze challenges. A 15mm ground clearance and 42mm wheels allow for smooth, responsive movement in desktop environments.

Responsive metal gear motors

The integrated micro metal gear motors provide a balanced mix of speed and torque, running at 260 rpm with 10 oz-inches of torque at 6V. Operating at 40mA with a 360mA stall current, the drivetrain ensures reliable power efficiency during motion control testing.

Romeo robot controller compatibility

The chassis integrates directly with Romeo series all-in-one robot boards, including the Romeo V2 (Leonardo) and Romeo BLE with Bluetooth 4.0. This streamlined setup enables rapid development of wireless and Bluetooth-controlled mobile robotics projects.

Modular shield and microcontroller support

Standard development boards paired with motor driver shields and sensor expansion boards fit seamlessly onto the platform. This hardware flexibility allows learners to build custom robotic vehicles using familiar development environments.

The chassis is engineered for fast assembly using only a small set of screws, motor brackets, and dual caster wheels. Multiple pre-drilled mounting holes allow easy installation of obstacle avoidance sensors and custom hardware enclosures.
