Description
The micro:Maqueen Plus V2 with Mechanic Kit is an advanced micro:bit-powered STEAM educational robot platform designed for primary and secondary students, educators, and hobbyists. It combines an expanded chassis and enhanced sensor array with a multi-configuration mechanical add-on set for hands-on classroom projects, coding lessons, and robotics competitions.
Four mechanical build configurations
The included Maqueen Mechanic kit comes with two 9g servos and structural hardware to build Loader, Forklift, Beetle, and Push configurations. These mechanical accessories allow students to explore kinematics and practical robotics applications using visual or text-based coding.
Upgraded V2 educational platform
Built for quick setup with no complex assembly required, the V2 platform features two smooth-running N20 all-metal gear motors, an easily mounted SR04 ultrasonic sensor, four base-mounted RGB ambient lights, and dual front LED headlights. It supports both micro:bit V1 and V2 boards and programs via MakeCode and Mind+.
Optimised five-sensor line tracking
Five integrated line-tracking sensors with one-key calibration simplify programming and algorithm optimisation for complex tracks. The layout delivers reliable line following and intersection detection for robotics challenges and competitions.
Extensive peripheral and AI expansion
The mainboard provides three 5V IO ports, seven 3.3V IO ports, two 3.3V I2C ports, one 5V I2C port, an IR receiver, and an onboard buzzer. The larger chassis offers broad compatibility with external modules, including seamless support for the HuskyLens AI vision camera.
Durable chassis and flexible power
This AA battery version runs on four 1.2V AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries or four 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. It includes a protective frosted acrylic bottom plate for increased durability and ships with a deep-base storage box that accommodates the fully assembled car.
