The micro:Maqueen Plus V2 combo is an advanced educational robotics kit featuring the Maqueen Plus V2 chassis, a micro:bit V2 board, and the Gravity: HUSKYLENS AI machine vision sensor. Designed for primary and secondary STEM education, it gives students, educators, and hobbyists a powerful platform for learning graphical programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
AI vision with HUSKYLENS
The included Gravity: HUSKYLENS AI camera equips the robot with machine vision capabilities for face recognition, object tracking, and line following. It integrates smoothly with the Maqueen Plus platform for hands-on artificial intelligence projects.
Precision line tracking and obstacle detection
Five onboard line-tracking sensors feature one-key calibration to simplify code optimisation and path navigation. An SR04 ultrasonic sensor provides accurate distance measuring and collision avoidance.
Extensive IO expansion ports
The baseboard offers versatile expansion options, including three 5V IO ports, eight 3.3V IO ports, and three I2C interfaces. This broad pinout supports additional peripherals and Maqueen Mechanic Kit add-ons.
Interactive lighting and audio feedback
Built-in outputs include two front LED car lights, four base-mounted RGB ambient lights, and an integrated buzzer. An onboard IR receiver allows for wireless remote control programming.
Robust build with rechargeable power options
Twin N20 all-metal gear motors deliver steady movement, protected underneath by a frosted acrylic plate. The vehicle is powered by four 1.2V AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries or four 1.5V AA alkaline batteries.
Pre-assembled design and deep storage
Motors, wheels, and battery panels arrive pre-fitted to get learners coding in Mind+ or MakeCode within minutes. The included plastic case features a deeper base to store the fully assembled robot between sessions.
