Description
The micro:Maqueen Plus V2 (18650 Battery) is an advanced STEM education robot platform powered by the BBC micro:bit. Featuring expanded IO interfaces, onboard sensors, and rechargeable battery support, it is ideal for primary and secondary school classrooms, robotics clubs, and competition teams.
HuskyLens AI camera compatibility
The Maqueen Plus V2 connects directly with the HuskyLens AI vision sensor to bring machine learning into robotics projects. This enables learners to implement face recognition, object tracking, and colour sorting without complex wiring.

Maqueen Mechanic kit expansion
The chassis features standard mounting points compatible with the Maqueen Mechanic add-on kits. This allows students to transform the mobile robot into loaders, forklifts, and other functional machinery.

Wireless control and robotics competitions
Compatible with both micro:bit V1 and V2, the robot can be paired with wireless gamepads for responsive remote driving. Its stable drive system makes it well suited for classroom tasks, after-school clubs, and arena challenges.

Comprehensive IO expansion ports
The board provides extensive peripheral breakout options, including seven 3.3V IO ports, three 5V IO ports, two 3.3V I2C ports, and one 5V I2C port. Programmable via Mind+ and MakeCode, it allows easy integration of external modules.

Optimised line tracking and obstacle detection
A five-sensor line-tracking array with one-key calibration ensures reliable path following and simplified algorithm programming. Distance sensing is handled by an easily installed SR04 ultrasonic sensor module.
Onboard 18650 lithium battery charging
The vehicle is powered by a single 3.6V or 3.7V 18650 lithium battery and includes integrated charging circuitry via MicroUSB and USB Type-C ports, with a four-hour recharge time. Please note that the 18650 battery and micro:bit board are not included.
Protective acrylic base and storage box
A frosted acrylic bottom plate protects circuit components during use, while twin N20 all-metal gear motors ensure smooth driving. The supplied storage container features a deep base designed to store the vehicle fully assembled.
