micro:Maqueen Mechanic - Beetle

The micro:Maqueen Mechanic - Beetle is an add-on gripper kit designed to expand your Maqueen robot with interactive mechanical pincers. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers looking to explore mechanical structures and applied programming through hands-on assembly. Please note that the micro:bit board, Maqueen base robot, and batteries are not included.

Interactive beetle gripper mechanism

This add-on kit equips your Maqueen vehicle with functional beetle pincers for grabbing and manipulating items. It offers learners practical insight into linkages and mechanical motion through direct experimentation.

Sturdy aluminium alloy construction

The gripper panels and arms are crafted from aluminium alloy finished with a sandblasting oxidation process. This provides a robust, reliable structure suited to regular classroom and hobbyist use.

Metal gear servo motion

Driven by an included metal gear servo, the mechanism operates across an adjustable control angle of 0 to 180 degrees. The servo weighs 12g (plus or minus 1g) and secures firmly via a metal connection plate.

Broad Maqueen robot compatibility

The kit is fully compatible with micro:Maqueen Lite version 4.0 and later, as well as micro:Maqueen Plus. When mounted on Maqueen Plus, it interfaces using servo ports S1, S2, or S3.

Comprehensive assembly hardware

Each pack includes the 9g metal gear servo, five aluminium gripper parts, five M3 copper pillars, and twenty-five mounting screws. All required hardware is provided for simple, direct installation onto your chassis.
