Description
The micro: Maqueen Lite kit is an entry-level STEAM educational robot bundle powered by the BBC micro:bit V2, designed for learners aged eight and older. Complete with a micro:Gamepad and an infrared remote controller, it offers an engaging, plug-and-play platform for students and makers to explore robotics. It is an ideal tool for mastering graphical programming while developing problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
Comprehensive wireless control bundle
This complete pack supplies the Maqueen Lite robot chassis, two micro:bit V2 boards, a micro:Gamepad, and an IR remote controller with a CR2025 battery included. It gives educators and students everything required to implement wireless control and interactive robotics routines straight out of the box.

MakeCode and Mind+ coding support
Maqueen is fully compatible with Microsoft MakeCode and DFRobot's Mind+ graphical programming platform. Learners can begin with visual block-based logic and transition towards Python and Arduino environments as their confidence grows.

Integrated onboard sensors and lighting
The chassis features two infrared grayscale sensors for line tracking, an onboard buzzer, an NEC IR receiver, two front LED lights, and four 16-million-colour RGB ambient lights. These built-in modules enable diverse projects ranging from autonomous line-following to light and sound displays.

All-metal gear motors and POM wheels
Twin N20 all-metal miniature gear motors provide strong PWM-driven movement within a compact 81 x 85 x 44 mm footprint. Custom POM bearing wheels ensure smooth mobility and dependable obstacle-crossing performance.

Standardised hardware expansion ports
Expandability is built in via an SR04/SR04P 5V ultrasonic connector, an I2C port, and three Gravity extension interfaces for pins P0, P1, and P2. Six M3 screw holes allow users to mount mechanical brackets, structural covers, and custom add-ons.

Flexible DC power options
The platform accepts a 3.5V to 5V DC supply, powered by either three AAA batteries or a 3.6V to 3.7V lithium cell. Main drive batteries are not included with the kit.
