Description
The micro: Maqueen Lite kit is a compact, plug-and-play educational robot platform powered by the included BBC micro:bit V2. Tailored for learners aged 8 and up, it provides an engaging introduction to STEAM principles and graphical coding. The package arrives complete with a protective enclosure, 2-in-1 USB cable, and a printed track map for immediate experimentation.
Complete all-in-one starter bundle
This set combines the Maqueen Lite robot platform with a micro:bit V2 board, a protective micro:bit enclosure, a 2-in-1 USB cable, and a line-following track map. Each component is independently packaged, and the robot operates using three AAA batteries or a 3.6V to 3.7V lithium battery.

Accessible graphical and text coding
Learners can program the platform using Microsoft MakeCode or DFRobot Mind+, which offers an easy bridge from visual blocks to Python and Arduino code. Its intuitive interface enables quick setup, allowing students to focus directly on logical thinking and problem-solving.

Integrated onboard sensors and lighting
The chassis includes two infrared grayscale sensors for line-following, an infrared receiver with NEC decoding, and an integrated buzzer. Visual output is provided by two front-facing LEDs and four programmable RGB ambient lights capable of displaying 16 million colours.

Metal gear motors and POM wheels
Two all-metal N20 miniature gear motors with PWM drive provide reliable power and smooth motion across flat surfaces. Custom POM bearing wheels enhance mobility and assist with traversing small obstacles while maintaining a compact 81 by 85 mm footprint.

Versatile hardware expansion interfaces
For advanced projects, the board features a dedicated 5V ultrasonic sensor port, an I2C interface, and three Gravity extension pins (P0, P1, P2). Six M3 screw holes allow users to mount mechanical brackets, protective covers, or custom structural additions.
