The micro: Circular RGB LED Expansion Board is a versatile ring-shaped add-on for the BBC micro:bit featuring 24 addressable RGB LEDs. Equipped with an onboard microphone and buzzer, it is ideal for students, makers, and educators building interactive clocks, wearable pendants, and sound-reactive art projects.

24 addressable RGB LEDs

The board features 24 integrated WS2812 single-line RGB LEDs capable of blending up to 16 million colours. It operates on 3.5V to 5V supply voltage and pairs with MakeCode graphical programming for custom light patterns and animations.

Integrated microphone and buzzer

An onboard microphone and buzzer allow you to transform the micro:bit into an interactive music spectrometer or an acoustic timer. These components enable sound-sensing triggers and audible alerts without requiring extra wiring.

Extended sensor expansion ports

Dedicated P0 and P1 expansion interfaces break out additional micro:bit pins for external peripherals. They are fully compatible with Gravity and Boson sensor modules and come supplied with two PH2.0-3pin connection cables.

Flexible dual power options

The board supports power delivery via its onboard USB interface using a computer or standard power bank. It also includes a PH2.0 power port to connect battery boxes or lithium batteries for portable setups.

Ultra-thin wearable design

With its compact circular form factor and low profile, this expansion board is suited for wearable jewellery, straps, and custom acrylic or papercraft decorations. Five M3x4 screws are included in the box for secure mounting.
