The Metal Ball Caster is a rugged omnidirectional support wheel designed for mobile robotics projects, including 2WD Arduino platforms. Engineered from stamped steel, it provides smooth multi-directional rotation for makers, students, and hobbyists building balanced, agile robots.

Durable stamped steel construction

Formed from 1mm thick machine-stamped steel, this caster combines strong structural rigidity with a total weight of only 37g. Its round body measures 20mm in height to maintain a low profile beneath robot chassis.

Smooth multi-bearing rolling mechanism

The internal assembly houses 40 small bearing balls surrounding a 15mm main steel scroll ball. This multi-ball design minimises friction, allowing your robot to turn and travel smoothly in any direction.

Heavy-duty 15kg payload support

Despite its compact dimensions, the caster is rated to support loads up to 15kg. This high capacity provides reliable balance even when carrying heavier batteries, sensors, and structural hardware.

Standard mounting dimensions

The caster features 4mm mounting holes with a 40mm centre-to-centre spacing for straightforward mechanical attachment. The main ball protrudes 4mm from the base for dependable surface contact.
