Description
The HX1838 Infrared Remote Control Kit provides a complete wireless control solution featuring a 21-key IR transmitter and a matching HX1838 receiver. It allows makers, students and hobbyists to integrate remote commands into their microcontroller development projects. The compact receiver module includes an integrated power indicator light for easy status monitoring.
Infrared transmission and range
The kit receives 38 kHz frequency coding data from compatible remote controls. It offers a theoretical operating range of approximately 5 to 8 metres, with practical performance depending on surrounding ambient factors and physical barriers.
Transmitter layout
The handheld remote features a 3x7 layout containing 21 keys. These include numeric buttons 0 to 9, 100+, 200+, as well as CH, CH-, CH+, PREV, NEXT, PLAY/PAUSE, VOL-, VOL+, and EQ.
HX1838 receiver board
The receiver is built around the HX1838 sensor head and incorporates a red power indicator LED to signal working status during operation.
Power requirements
The handheld remote controller is powered by a CR2025 battery, which is not included.
