Gravity: IO Expansion Shield for Arduino V7.1

The Gravity: IO Expansion Shield for Arduino V7.1 is a versatile add-on board designed to simplify prototyping on Arduino UNO R3 and R4 microcontrollers. It eliminates breadboard clutter and soldering by breaking out digital, analog, and communication pins into standard colour-coded headers. Ideal for students, educators, and makers, it allows seamless plug-and-play connections to both Gravity peripherals and generic electronic modules.

Colour-coded pin breakout

The shield breaks out standard Arduino GPIO pins alongside power connections using easily identifiable colour-coded headers for digital and analog signals. This enables clean, single-cable connections to Gravity modules while remaining fully compatible with non-Gravity components using standard DuPont wires.

Flexible power and voltage options

The board accepts a main input voltage of 7V to 12V via the PWR_IN terminal and includes a dedicated 4.8V to 6V SERVO_PWR port with built-in power protection for running servos. An onboard jumper also allows you to quickly toggle module operating voltage between 3.3V and 5V.

Integrated wireless and communication sockets

Built-in sockets and headers provide immediate support for XBee, XBee Pro, APC220, Bluetooth, I2C, and SPI devices. A dedicated UART toggle switch allows you to switch between wireless communication and sketch programming without having to unplug modules.

Immersion gold construction and compatibility

Finished with an immersion gold surface for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance, the shield seats directly on top of Arduino UNO R3 and UNO R4 boards. Each pack includes one Gravity: IO Expansion Shield for Arduino V7.1.
