Gravity: I/O Expansion Shield for Pyboard

The Gravity: I/O Expansion Shield for Pyboard connects directly to the Pyboard v1.1 development platform to streamline external hardware connections. It is an ideal interface accessory for makers, students, and educators building MicroPython electronics projects without complex breadboard wiring.

Pyboard v1.1 compatibility

This shield is designed specifically to mount directly onto the Pyboard v1.1 board. It breaks out the microcontroller pins into convenient 3-pin Gravity interfaces for faster assembly.

Twelve digital I/O ports

The board features 12 digital ports ready to interface with digital sensors, buttons, relays, and actuators. Each header provides power, ground, and signal lines to minimise loose wiring.

Eight dedicated analog ports

A total of 8 analog ports are available for reading variable inputs such as potentiometers, temperature probes, and light sensors. This offers ample capacity for multi-sensor data acquisition setups.

UART and dual I2C interfaces

Integrated communication breakouts include a standard UART port alongside dual I2C interfaces. These allow straightforward connection to serial modules, OLED screens, and advanced I2C peripherals.

Efficient MicroPython prototyping

Standardising connections through the Gravity layout allows rapid testing and iteration of code in MicroPython. It significantly reduces wiring errors during classroom practicals and hobby builds.
