The Gravity: I/O Expansion Shield for OpenMV Cam H7 & H7 Plus is a compact breakout board designed to quickly connect sensors and actuators to your machine vision camera. With colour-coded Gravity connectors and flexible power routing, it is ideal for students, educators, and makers building embedded vision and robotics prototypes.

Plug-and-play Gravity interface

Standard colour-coded Gravity connectors eliminate the need for soldering and reduce wiring errors during assembly. This modular interface provides seamless connection to a wide range of Gravity-compatible sensors, communication modules, and electronic peripherals.

Flexible high-current power management

An onboard 5V USB power port paired with a selectable 3.3V/VIN switch lets you run demanding components such as motors and servos directly from ports P7 to P9. This external power architecture delivers up to 1A continuous current while protecting the OpenMV mainboard.

Rich multi-interface peripheral connectivity

The breakout board features nine digital ports, one 0 to 3.3V analog input port, one serial communication port, and two I2C interfaces. An onboard 3.3V LDO regulator provides steady voltage for reliable multi-sensor operation.

Compact layout and installation

With a compact footprint of 35.6mm by 24.8mm, the shield mounts cleanly on OpenMV Cam H7 and H7 Plus boards with both USB ports aligned on the same side. Note that the shield's onboard USB port provides auxiliary power only and operates at a 3.3V logic level.
