Description

The Gravity I/O Expansion Shield for FireBeetle enables quick and reliable connections between FireBeetle microcontrollers and standard Gravity sensors. Built specifically for low-power IoT development, it provides dedicated power and signal lines for every peripheral. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers prototyping compact connected hardware.

Plug-and-play Gravity sensor integration

The expansion shield provides standard Gravity ports that allow you to connect sensors and modules directly to your FireBeetle without complex wiring. Every sensor port features independent power pins delivering a regulated 3.3V operating voltage.

Dedicated digital and analogue I/O

Break out your FireBeetle pins with ease using 10 digital I/O pins and 5 analogue input pins. Dedicated interfaces are also broken out for I2C, UART, and SPI communication to drive displays, relays, and serial devices.

Low-power supply management

Accepting an input voltage of 3.7V to 5.5V, the onboard LDO supplies 3.3V with a maximum discharge current of 600mA. It supports low-power consumption mode when POWER_EN is pulled low, making it well-suited for battery-powered projects.

Compact stackable footprint

Measuring just 29.00 by 58.00 mm, the shield neatly matches the FireBeetle form factor to keep your custom enclosures and IoT nodes compact.

Included pin headers

Each shield includes two standard 18-pin 2.54mm headers and two 18-pin 2.54mm long pin headers for flexible stacking configurations with your main control boards.
