The Gravity Arduino Shield for Raspberry Pi connects the computational power of a Linux-based Raspberry Pi with the real-time hardware control of an onboard Arduino Leonardo. It is ideal for robotics builders, students, and makers who require fast microcontroller response for sensors and motors alongside high-level software execution. Compatible with Raspberry Pi B+ through 4B, it allows standard Arduino shields and sensors to integrate directly into your Pi projects.

Onboard ATmega32u4 microcontroller

The shield features an integrated Arduino Leonardo chip that communicates with the Raspberry Pi via a serial connection. This architecture lets the Arduino handle time-sensitive hardware tasks without operating system latency while the Pi manages complex algorithms and networking.

Arduino shield and sensor compatibility

Equipped with standard Arduino pin mapping, the board exposes 20 digital I/O lines and 6 analog inputs. This makes it fully compatible with standard Arduino expansion shields and 5V sensor modules.

Raspberry Pi interface breakouts

The board breaks out dedicated Raspberry Pi hardware connections alongside the Arduino pins. These include 16 Raspberry Pi GPIO pins, 1 SPI interface, 1 TTL UART, and 2 I2C buses.
