Description
The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 (N4) is a compact dual-core IoT development board built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N4 module with integrated hardware AI acceleration. Featuring extensive peripheral connectivity, dual-mode wireless networking, and onboard lithium battery management, it suits makers, students, and developers building smart home systems, robotics, and edge AIoT projects.
Dual-core performance with AI acceleration
Driven by a 32-bit Xtensa LX7 dual-core processor running up to 240 MHz, the board includes 512KB SRAM and 4MB Flash memory. Dedicated AI acceleration capabilities support edge computing workloads such as voice command recognition, text recognition, and sensor data analysis.

Rich peripheral and display interfaces
The board provides 26 digital I/O pins, 20 ADC channels, 3 UARTs, 2 I2C ports, 2 SPI buses, 2 I2S interfaces, and 10 infrared channels. An onboard GDI display interface enables direct, solder-free connection to compatible display screens.

Broad programming environment support
Developers can write software using the Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, and MicroPython, catering to varied workflows across C, C++, and Python.

Dual-mode wireless connectivity
Integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 (LE) with mesh support provide reliable networking for remote control and telemetry using the onboard antenna.
Integrated dual power management
The board accepts power via USB-C or an external 3.7V lithium battery and automatically switches between sources. Integrated battery management circuitry supports onboard charging from both USB and external DC inputs.
Compact and embeddable form factor
Measuring 25.4mm by 60mm with a stamp-hole design, the board readily embeds into custom carrier boards and space-constrained enclosures. Note that this N4 variant does not feature a camera interface.
