Description
The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-E (N16R2) is a low-power IoT development board powered by a dual-core 240MHz Tensilica LX6 processor with 16MB Flash and 2MB PSRAM. It is designed for makers, students, and engineers building connected hardware and memory-intensive graphical user interfaces using LVGL.
Dual-core processing with expanded memory
Driven by the ESP32-WROOM-32E-N16R2 module, the board runs at clock speeds up to 240MHz with 16MB Flash and 2MB PSRAM. It integrates 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 BR/EDR and BLE with an onboard PCB antenna for wireless communication.

Extensive peripheral interface support
The board breaks out 17 digital pins, 11 analog inputs, 3 UART interfaces, 1 SPI, 1 I2C, 1 I2S, 2 DAC outputs, and 7 capacitive touch channels. It also includes an onboard WS2812 RGB LED and 16 PWM channels for driving servos and lighting.

Dual power input and onboard battery charging
Power the board via 5V USB-C, external 5V VCC pin, or a 3.7V lithium-ion battery connected through the PH2.0 interface. An integrated charging circuit automatically switches between external power and battery supply seamlessly.
Compact layout and multiple programming options
Measuring 25.4mm by 60mm with stamp-hole edges, the board fits easily into space-constrained enclosures and custom carrier PCBs. Developers can program it using the Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, or MicroPython.

Dedicated GDI port for display integration
An onboard General Display Interface (GDI) provides plug-and-play screen connectivity without complex pin wiring. Combined with the board's 2MB PSRAM, it easily supports LVGL graphics libraries for building custom control panels and dashboards.
