The Devastator Tank Mobile Robot Platform is a tracked chassis driven by robust metal DC gear motors. Engineered to host an Arduino or compatible microcontroller board, it provides an ideal foundation for students, educators, and makers building tracked robotics projects.
Heavy-duty tracked load capacity
Built for stable movement over varied surfaces, this tracked chassis supports a maximum payload of up to 3 kg. The complete platform weighs 1.3 kg, ensuring solid stability for mounted electronics and hardware.
High-torque metal gear motors
The platform is powered by metal DC gear motors featuring a 45:1 reduction ratio and 4 mm D-shaped output shafts. Each motor delivers a locked-rotor torque of 4.5 kg.cm and a no-load speed of 133 RPM at 6 V.
Operating voltage and electrical ratings
The motors operate within a 2 V to 7.5 V range, with a nominal rated voltage of 6 V. They feature an efficient no-load current draw of 0.13 A and a locked-rotor current of 2.3 A.
Chassis footprint and controller support
Fully assembled, the chassis measures 225 x 220 x 108 mm, offering generous space to install sensors and microcontrollers. The mounting layout is specifically designed to accommodate standard Arduino and compatible development platforms.
