Description
The Devastator Tank Mobile Robot Platform is a durable tracked robotic chassis built for tackling rough terrain. Designed for students, makers, educators, and researchers, it provides a sturdy, adaptable base for robotics competitions and DIY mobile projects.
Rugged aluminium alloy construction
Built with high-strength aluminium alloy, the chassis provides solid durability while keeping overall weight to 780g. This robust frame withstands demanding indoor and outdoor mobile robotics applications.
Suspension and tracked mobility
Equipped with premium tracks, 43mm driver wheels, and a high-performance suspension system, this platform moves swiftly across tough surfaces. The integrated micro DC geared motors achieve a maximum travel speed of 36cm/s.
Versatile controller compatibility
The platform readily integrates with popular microcontrollers and single-board computers, including Arduino, Raspberry Pi (such as Model B+), Romeo All-in-one, Intel Edison, and Joule. Please note that main control boards and sensors are sold separately.
Customisable sensor and module mounting
Multiple pre-drilled mounting holes allow you to attach various sensors, servos, and turntables without modifying the frame. This makes it straightforward to configure custom setups for research, obstacle avoidance, or navigation.
Simplified assembly process
This updated version uses standard Phillips head screws rather than hex socket screws for quicker, easier assembly with common tools. It also includes an updated instruction manual to guide construction.
Power and physical specifications
The motors operate within a working voltage range of 3V to 8V DC. The fully assembled chassis measures 225 x 220 x 108mm, making it a compact yet capable base for mobile robotics builds.
