Description
The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi combines the 32-bit Renesas RA4M1 microprocessor with an Espressif ESP32-S3 module to provide expanded processing power and wireless connectivity in the classic UNO form factor. It features an on-board 12x8 LED matrix, a Qwiic I2C connector, and a 6-24 V input voltage range. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers creating connected Internet of Things projects or upgrading existing setups.
Dual processing and wireless connectivity
Equipped with a 48 MHz Renesas RA4M1 Arm Cortex-M4 processor and an ESP32-S3 running at up to 240 MHz, the board brings native Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities to standard UNO projects. Makers can monitor and control hardware remotely by integrating directly with the Arduino IoT Cloud.
Built-in peripherals and visual display
An integrated 12x8 red LED matrix enables animations and sensor data plotting directly on the board without extra components. Additional hardware features include a 12-bit DAC, CAN bus support, an operational amplifier, and a Qwiic connector for solderless I2C sensor expansion.
Form factor and power integration
The board retains the standard UNO pinout and 5 V circuit operating voltage for compatibility with existing shields, while supporting an extended 6-24 V input range on the VIN pin. Dedicated OFF and VRTC pins provide low-power control and backup power for the internal Real-Time Clock.
USB HID and crash diagnostics
With built-in USB HID support via the USB-C port, the board can simulate a keyboard or mouse when connected to a computer. An onboard error-catching mechanism assists debugging by detecting runtime crashes and reporting the specific line of code responsible.
