Description
The Arduino MKR2UNO Adapter allows you to upgrade your Arduino UNO form factor projects using a compatible MKR series board. It enables makers, students, and educators to connect existing UNO shields directly to MKR boards like the MKR1000. This provides a straightforward way to add 3.3V MKR processing power and LiPo battery capabilities to your designs.
UNO form factor compatibility
Simply mount your MKR board onto the adapter to connect and use your standard Arduino UNO shields. This allows you to upgrade projects to MKR architecture without rewiring your existing shield setups.
Power supply options
Power your MKR board using the onboard centre-positive barrel jack or via the VIN pin on the headers. The adapter supports a recommended input voltage of 7–12V with limits between 6V and 16V.
Pinout and interface notes
The adapter features 14 digital I/O pins, 6 analogue inputs, and 1 analogue output operating at 3.3V. Note that unlike a classic Arduino UNO, the MKR2UNO adapter does not have I2C on pins A4 and A5, nor SPI on pins 11, 12, and 13.
