Description
The Arduino Due is a high-performance microcontroller board powered by a 32-bit Atmel SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 CPU. Running at 84 MHz with 54 digital I/O pins and dual DAC outputs, it provides significant processing capability for demanding projects. It is an ideal development platform for advanced students, hobbyists, and makers building complex automation or robotics systems.
32-bit ARM processing power
Driven by the Atmel SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 processor, the board operates at 84 MHz and includes 512 KB of flash memory alongside 96 KB of SRAM divided into two banks.
Extensive input and output options
The Due offers 54 digital input/output pins, including 12 PWM outputs, 12 analogue inputs, and 2 true analogue DAC outputs for direct digital-to-analogue conversion.
Connectivity and onboard features
It includes a USB OTG capable connection, 4 hardware UART serial ports, 2 TWI interfaces, an SPI header, a JTAG header, and dedicated onboard reset and erase buttons.
Voltage requirements and shield compatibility
The board adheres to the 1.0 Arduino pinout with an IOREF pin and supports 3.3V-compatible shields. Because the microcontroller operates at 3.3V, I/O pins cannot tolerate 5V inputs.
