Description
The DevDuino Sensor Node V2.2 is a compact, Arduino-compatible microcontroller board designed for creating wireless networks using nRF24L01+ transceivers. Equipped with onboard data encryption, over-the-air firmware update capability, and an integrated temperature sensor, it is ideal for makers and students building remote monitoring projects.
Wireless and security features
Built on an Arduino-compatible architecture using the UNO Optiboot loader, this board is tailored for nRF24L01+ wireless networks. It incorporates an onboard ATSHA204A chip for data encryption alongside a 64kb SPI flash EEPROM for over-the-air firmware upgrades.
Onboard sensing and interface
The controller features an integrated MCP9700 temperature sensor capable of measuring from -40°C to +125°C with ±2°C accuracy. It also includes a built-in user LED and a clock button for local feedback and control.
Connectivity and headers
Expansion is made simple with three Crowtail-compatible connectors providing I2C, two analog, and two digital connections. Dedicated FTDI and Atmel ICSP headers provide convenient options for programming and serial communication.
Power and compact dimensions
The module measures 32 x 68.5 mm and operates at a 16MHz clock frequency, which can be scaled down to 1MHz to conserve power. It is powered by two AAA batteries, which are not included.
