Description
The YDLIDAR GS2 is an ultra-compact linear array solid-state LiDAR sensor designed for high-precision short-range distance measurement from 25 to 300 mm. Utilizing laser triangulation across a wide 100-degree field of view, it delivers reliable point cloud data for obstacle avoidance and edge tracking. It is ideally suited to robotics students, makers, and developers building autonomous mobile robots and smart appliances.
Wide 100-degree field of view
Based on optical triangulation principles, the sensor captures 100 degrees of high-precision laser distance data to generate environmental point clouds. This ultra-wide scanning angle assists mobile robots and vacuum cleaners with blind-spot detection and path planning.

Precise edge and wall following
The GS2 gathers vertical measurement data to enable accurate, real-time edge monitoring for robotic platforms. This enhanced directional awareness allows smart cleaning and service robots to navigate neatly alongside walls.

Ultra-compact form factor
Measuring only 25.6 x 23.6 x 10.8 mm, the sensor can be easily integrated into space-constrained intelligent devices. Its low profile suits refined obstacle detection without adding significant bulk.

Certified optical safety and longevity
The module meets FDA Class I laser safety standards and holds CE, FCC, RoHS, and REACH certifications. It offers an operating lifespan of up to 10,000 hours for dependable long-term use.

Dimensions and physical footprint
With total dimensions of 25.6 mm in length, 23.6 mm in height, and 10.8 mm in width, the unit fits smoothly onto small robot chassis and sensor payloads.

High-precision close-range sensing
Operating at a 28 Hz ranging frequency with an angular resolution of 0.6 degrees, the sensor detects objects as small as 3 mm in diameter. It provides sunlight resistance up to 25 Klux and maintains measurement accuracy across a 25 to 300 mm range.

Versatile robotics applications
The sensor is suitable for anti-fall detection, height-based scanning, robotic grasping, and positioning measurement. It includes the solid-state LiDAR module, an adapter board, a 4-pin connector wire, and a USB to Type-C cable.
