Description
The XBoard V2 is an Arduino-compatible IoT development board powered by an ATmega328P microcontroller running at 16MHz, combining onboard WIZnet W5100 Ethernet with an XBee wireless socket. Designed for students, makers, and engineers, it simplifies building networked automation systems, remote telemetry nodes, and connected robotics.
Integrated W5100 Ethernet networking
An onboard WIZnet W5100 controller delivers stable TCP/IP connectivity directly through a standard Ethernet port for embedded web servers and network logging. Dedicated onboard LEDs monitor power, network link, 100 Mbps speed, full-duplex status, traffic, and collision detection.
Wireless expansion via XBee socket
The integrated socket accommodates standard XBee modules for point-to-point and mesh networking in remote monitoring setups. It also supports APC220 RF modules and DF-Bluetooth modules, providing diverse wireless communication options on one platform.
Direct 5V sensor interfacing
Operating at standard 5V logic, the board connects directly to common sensors and I2C peripherals without external voltage level converters. It provides 8 digital I/O pins, including 4 PWM outputs, alongside 8 analog input channels.
Arduino compatibility and programming
Preloaded with the Arduino Uno bootloader, the board enables quick firmware development in the Arduino environment. Code upload is supported via an external FTDI programmer or ICSP header, with power supplied via Mini USB or a 5V to 12V input.
Versatile IoT application support
Combining wired Ethernet and modular wireless interfaces, the board is suited to home automation gateways, wireless robot control, and distributed data logging. Connected devices can easily exchange information across local networks or publish sensor readings online.
