WS2812-12 RGB LED Ring Lamp

The WS2812-12 RGB LED Ring Lamp is a compact, circular lighting module featuring 12 individually addressable full-colour LEDs. It operates across 3.3V to 5V logic and requires only a single signal line for complete colour and brightness control. This versatile board suits students, hobbyists, and educators designing interactive displays, timers, and robotic projects.

Full-colour addressable lighting

Equipped with 12 WS2812 beads capable of producing 16 million colours, the ring provides vivid visual feedback for electronics projects. It operates on 3.3V to 5V with a maximum current draw of less than 100mA.

Compact physical dimensions

The board features an inner ring diameter of 2.6cm (1.02 inches) and an outer ring diameter of 4.7cm (1.85 inches). Its circular form factor fits neatly onto robot chassis, clock faces, and custom enclosures.

Single-wire cascade control

A single data line controls the status and colour of all onboard LEDs via a 3-pin PH2.0 interface. Multiple rings can be chained together by connecting the OUT terminal of the first board to the IN terminal of the next.

Pairing the ring with sensors allows you to create digital compasses, countdown timers, lottery turntables, and illuminated robotics accents. It serves as an engaging visual indicator for STEM education and maker installations.

Multi-platform programming support

The module is compatible with Mind+, Microsoft MakeCode, and the Arduino IDE for straightforward coding across different skill levels. It comes supplied with a 30cm Gravity digital sensor cable for convenient connection to development boards.
