Description

The WIAnode Sensor Kit is an interactive hardware collection designed for new media artists, creative coders, and educators. It bridges physical inputs directly to software environments like TouchDesigner and Unity without complex wiring. Please note that the WIAnode main controller is required for operation and is sold separately.

Ten distinct interaction modes

The kit captures diverse environmental and physical inputs, including sound, ambient light, motion, and proximity. It includes specialised hardware such as a millimeter-wave human presence sensor, gesture sensor, accelerometer, and ultrasonic distance sensor.

Plug-and-play PH2.0 connections

Every module utilizes standard PH2.0 interfaces that connect directly to WIAnode ports, eliminating breadboards and soldering. The package includes a dedicated silicone cable set containing four 3-pin cables and two 4-pin cables.

Real-time creative software routing

Engineered for the WIAnode data format, sensors are automatically recognised upon connection. Data routes seamlessly into creative environments such as TouchDesigner and Unity for visual and generative art installations.

Physical controls and visual outputs

The kit includes interactive controls and responsive components, featuring a push button, a knob module, a 7-LED RGB strip, and a 300-degree clutch servo for dynamic physical actuation.

Structured educational packaging

Modules are individually packaged with clear wiring labels and scenario guides to streamline learning. This format makes the kit well suited for university design labs, classroom instruction, and rapid exhibition prototyping.
