Waveshare Luckfox Pico RV1103 Linux Micro Development Board

The Waveshare Luckfox Pico is a compact Linux micro development board powered by the Rockchip RV1103 processor, featuring an ARM Cortex-A7 core, a low-power RISC-V MCU, and an integrated NPU. It brings dedicated artificial intelligence acceleration and camera processing capabilities to edge computing and embedded applications. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and developers working on embedded Linux, computer vision, and smart hardware projects.

Processing and AI acceleration

The board features a single-core ARM Cortex-A7 32-bit processor running at 1.2GHz with NEON and FPU, paired with a dedicated RISC-V MCU for low-power operation and rapid startup. A 4th-generation Rockchip NPU delivers 0.5 TOPS at int8 and up to 1.0 TOPS at int4, supporting int4, int8, and int16 hybrid quantization for on-device machine learning models.

Advanced imaging and video encoding

Equipped with a 2-lane MIPI CSI connector and a 3rd-generation ISP3.2, the board supports up to 4-megapixel camera input at 30 fps with hardware HDR, WDR, and multi-level noise reduction. Intelligent encoding features adaptively optimise video streams to save over 50 percent of standard bit rates.

Connectivity and storage

The board integrates 64MB DDR2 memory, 24 GPIO pins, a USB 2.0 host and device port, and a 10/100M Ethernet controller with an embedded PHY. Storage is supplied via an external TF card slot, and this unit ships with unsoldered headers for customised project integration.
