The Waveshare Luckfox Pico Max is a compact Linux micro development board powered by the Rockchip RV1106G3 processor with an integrated ARM Cortex-A7 core, NPU, and ISP. Designed for edge AI and embedded vision projects, it offers 256MB of onboard DDR3L RAM and 256MB SPI NAND flash storage. It is ideal for makers, engineering students, and developers building smart camera or machine vision applications.

Processing and AI acceleration

The board features a single-core ARM Cortex-A7 32-bit processor running up to 1.2GHz with integrated NEON and FPU, alongside a RISC-V MCU. Its built-in fourth-generation Rockchip NPU delivers up to 1.0 TOPS of computing power with support for int4, int8, and int16 hybrid quantization.

Image processing and camera input

Equipped with a third-generation ISP3.2 and a 2-lane MIPI CSI interface, the board supports camera inputs up to 5 megapixels at 30fps. It features hardware image enhancement algorithms including HDR, WDR, and multi-level noise reduction, as well as intelligent scene-adaptive encoding.

Connectivity and hardware interfaces

The Luckfox Pico Max provides 26 GPIO pins for interfacing with sensors and external hardware. It includes a USB 2.0 host and device port, an onboard 10/100M Ethernet controller with embedded PHY, integrated audio codec, and power-on reset circuitry.
