Sealed weatherproof probe design

Temperature-compensated precision ranging

With a detection span of 30cm to 500cm and 3mm resolution, the module provides dependable accuracy across a wide 60-degree measuring angle. Built-in temperature compensation automatically corrects for sound-speed shifts across operating temperatures from -20°C to 70°C.

Selectable communication modes

The module offers four flexible operating modes, including standard microcontroller PWM pulse-width output and automated 100ms UART streaming. It also supports on-demand UART query commands and a non-contact proximity switch mode that outputs a high signal when targets cross a set distance threshold.

Broad 3.3V to 5V compatibility

Upgraded from older 5V-only units, this version operates directly across 3.3V to 5V DC with a 40mA operating current and 8mA quiescent draw. This allows straightforward connection to both 3.3V microprocessors and 5V development boards without extra logic-level shifters.

Robotics and automation applications
