Water Turbine Generator (5VDC)

This water turbine generator produces a regulated 5V DC supply directly from flowing water, providing a clean and renewable power source for low-voltage electronics. It is ideal for students, makers, and hobbyists building self-powered micro-hydro projects or standalone sensor nodes.

Regulated 5V DC output

The module delivers a standard regulated 5V DC output with a maximum current of 150mA. This provides sufficient power to run an Arduino board directly or feed a lithium battery charger to store backup energy.

Hydroelectric project applications

This compact generator is suitable for a wide range of inline water-flow applications. Typical uses include automated sensing taps, smart faucets, and shower room LED lighting setups.

Water flow and start-up performance

Power generation begins at a flow rate of 3.5 litres per minute to produce 2.5V DC, reaching full 5V DC output at 4 litres per minute. It supports an operating flow range of 2.5 to 20 litres per minute at 0.05 to 0.2 MPa pressure.

Pressure and temperature specifications

The unit supports a working pressure range of 0 to 1.0 MPa and is pressure-tested to 0.6 MPa. It handles operating fluid temperatures between 0 and 80 °C, withstanding maximum ambient temperatures of 100 °C for up to 30 minutes.
