The UVC Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp Strip is a compact, flexible 275nm short-wave UV light bar engineered for targeted disinfection and detection tasks. Powered by a standard 12V DC supply, it is well suited for makers, educators, and hobbyists building custom sanitisation boxes, wardrobe mite-clearing units, or banknote verification rigs.

Short-wave 275nm UVC emission

Operating at a wavelength of 275nm, this strip delivers effective short-wave ultraviolet light for small-scale germicidal and mite-removal tasks. Because UVC radiation cannot penetrate most transparent glass or standard plastics, it can be safely shielded inside enclosed compartments.

Flexible and cuttable FPC board

The module is constructed on a flexible FPC circuit board measuring 16cm in length and 1cm in width, allowing it to be bent or cut to suit custom enclosures. It carries five integrated LED beads to provide distributed ultraviolet output across its surface.

Straightforward 12V two-wire connection

Running on a 12V supply with a 170mA current draw and 2W power rating, the strip interfaces easily with standard bench and battery power sources. It includes 11cm colour-coded leads with a red wire for positive and a black wire for negative.

Sterilization and banknote verification uses

This light bar is ideal for DIY sanitisation projects in small spaces, such as shoe cabinets, wardrobes, and domestic storage units. It also functions effectively as a detection tool for identifying genuine and counterfeit banknotes.

Important optical and skin safety

Direct exposure to 275nm UVC radiation is hazardous to human skin and eyes. Never look directly into the illuminated LEDs, and ensure proper shielding is used to prevent bare skin exposure during operation.
