URM06 - Narrow Beam Ultrasonic Distance Sensor (20～1000cm, RS485)

The URM06 is a high-power ultrasonic distance sensor offering long-range detection from 20cm to 10m with 1cm resolution and an RS485 interface. With its narrow 15-degree beam angle, it is ideal for makers, robotics students, and engineers developing obstacle avoidance systems for narrow spaces or industrial monitoring setups.

Narrow 15-degree beam angle

The sensor features a focused 15-degree beam angle (-6dB) with high receive sensitivity, making it particularly effective at detecting soft targets and operating in confined spaces without false side-reflections.

Long-range detection capability

Operating at a 49.5kHz acoustic frequency with high output power, the unit reliably measures distances from 20cm up to 1000cm. It delivers consistent range information with 1cm resolution across its entire operating span.

Industrial RS485 communication

Equipped with an RS485 interface, the sensor supports robust, noise-tolerant communication over long wire runs. It operates on a 6V to 12V supply with a rated current of 16mA and a peak current capability of 2A.

Durable threaded housing

Housed in a compact, rugged PVC casing measuring 50mm in diameter and 43mm in length, the sensor weighs just 50g. The body incorporates a 35mm diameter mounting thread designed to fit standard 35mm electrical pipe fixtures.

Versatile robotic applications
