The UART Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor is a compact biometric module featuring onboard processing and storage for up to 80 fingerprints. Operating at 3.3V with standard serial communication, it is ideal for makers, students, and developers building secure access control and identity verification projects.

Autonomous on-chip recognition

Powered by an integrated processor and the IDfinger6.0 algorithm, this module handles fingerprint capture, processing, and matching independently. It features deep self-learning and 360-degree recognition to accurately verify fingers placed at any orientation.

Fast and high-resolution scanning

The semiconductor sensor provides a resolution of 508 dpi across a 160 by 160 pixel grid. It delivers high security with a 1:N verification speed of less than 0.5 seconds.

Simple UART integration

Communication takes place over a standard UART interface, making it straightforward to connect to microcontrollers. It supports fingerprint enrollment, deletion, and matching using the DFRobot Arduino library or dedicated upper computer software.

Compact, low-power design

Measuring just 19 mm in diameter, the sensor fits easily into compact enclosures. It operates on 3.3V and consumes less than 40 mA of current across a temperature range of -10 to 60 degrees Celsius.

Versatile access control applications

The module is suited for a variety of authentication projects including smart door locks, drawer locks, attendance systems, and machine authorization.

Complete connection hardware included

The package includes the capacitive fingerprint sensor with an FPC connector, a 0.5 mm 6-pin FPC cable, and an FPC-to-pin header adapter board for breadboard and prototyping use.
