Time of flight ranging
Utilising Time-of-Flight technology, this sensor measures distance by calculating the time it takes for light pulses to bounce off an object. This ensures accurate and stable range detection up to 5m, regardless of target colour.

Dual UART and CAN bus
Equipped with both UART and CAN bus interfaces, this module provides flexible communication options for your projects. It easily integrates with a wide range of microcontrollers and single-board computers commonly used in South African maker communities.

Cascading support for multi-sensor arrays
The sensor supports cascading, allowing multiple units to be connected in series on a single bus. This feature enables multi-directional distance sensing and comprehensive obstacle detection for complex mobile robots.

Host computer assistant software
This range sensor comes complete with host computer assistant software for straightforward configuration and testing. The software allows you to monitor real-time data, adjust parameters, and calibrate the sensor directly from your PC.
