Description
The TF03 is an industrial-grade, solid-state Time-of-Flight (ToF) LiDAR sensor capable of measuring distances up to 100m. Built into a durable, IP67-rated aluminium alloy enclosure, it provides high-speed ranging and 100klux ambient light immunity for demanding outdoor projects. It is an excellent choice for robotics engineers and makers developing drone terrain-following, vehicle collision avoidance, or industrial safety systems.
Industrial-grade long-distance ranging
The sensor delivers high-speed measurement across a 0.1m to 100m detection range with an accuracy of ±10cm within 10 metres. Integrated optical compensation maintains reliable ranging performance in direct sunlight up to 100klux.

Rugged IP67 weather-sealed housing
Constructed from an aluminium alloy casing and infrared band-pass glass, the sensor carries an IP67 rating for protection against water and dust. Despite its industrial build, it maintains a compact 44 x 43 x 32mm footprint weighing only 89g.

Flexible interfaces and controller compatibility
The TF03 operates over a wide 5V to 24V DC input and communicates via UART, CAN, and IO interfaces at 3.3V LVTTL levels. Readily available software libraries simplify direct connection to Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms.

Customisable operating modes
Key operating parameters can be tailored to your application, including adjustable frame rates from 1Hz to 1000Hz, trigger modes, and baud rates. An internal BootLoader allows users to update firmware locally without specialist hardware.
Versatile automation applications
With its fast response and narrow 0.5-degree field of view, this sensor is suited for drone altitude hold, terrain following, intelligent transport monitoring, and machine safety boundaries.
