TC01 Non-contact 16x4 Pixel Infrared Temperature Sensor

The TC01 Non-contact 16x4 Pixel Infrared Temperature Sensor provides remote thermal detection across a 64-pixel matrix. Housed in a durable industrial enclosure with standard Modbus-RTU RS485 output, it is ideal for engineers, educators, and makers developing non-contact thermal monitoring or occupancy detection systems.

16x4 infrared thermal array

Equipped with a 16x4 pixel IR array, the sensor captures a 64-point temperature map across a 60° by 16° field of view. It detects temperatures ranging from -20°C to 300°C with precision between ±1°C and ±5.5°C without physical contact.

RS485 Modbus-RTU communication

The sensor uses the standard Modbus-RTU protocol over an RS485 interface for seamless compatibility with industrial PCs, PLCs, and microcontrollers. It includes a 1.5-metre cable with stripped, tin-plated wire ends for secure wiring.

Rugged IP65 metal housing

Featuring an IP65-rated metal casing, the sensor probe is waterproof, dustproof, and engineered for high anti-interference in complex environments. It operates in ambient temperatures between -40°C and 85°C.

Wide supply voltage range

The unit operates on a wide DC supply from 9V to 24V with a low power consumption of 0.1W. The probe measures 15.4mm in diameter and 79mm in length, making it easy to install in compact assemblies.
