Description

The TB6600 Stepper Motor Driver is a professional drive module designed for controlling two-phase hybrid stepper motors, including NEMA 17 and NEMA 23 sizes. Capable of delivering up to 4.0A from a 9V to 42V DC supply, it is well suited for makers, educators, and robotics hobbyists developing precision CNC, automated, and motion control systems. It integrates smoothly with Arduino and other microcontrollers using standard digital pulse signals.

Configurable micro-stepping and current

Onboard DIP switches provide quick selection across 7 micro-step modes up to 1/32 step and 8 current levels between 0.5A and 4.0A. This allows fine-tuned torque and positioning accuracy while minimising motor vibration and resonance.

Optocoupler-isolated digital inputs

Signal terminals use high-speed optocoupler isolation compatible with 3.3V to 24V control logic. This isolates microcontrollers from high-frequency electrical noise and voltage spikes generated by high-power stepper loads.

Comprehensive thermal and electrical protection

Equipped with a large-area heat sink and automatic semi-flow current reduction, the driver prevents excessive heat build-up under load. It incorporates built-in safeguards against reverse polarity, short circuits, over-current, and overheating.

Wide voltage and motor compatibility

Driven by the TB67S109AFTG IC, the unit operates from a 9V to 42V DC power source delivering up to 160W. It supports 2-phase and 4-phase hybrid motors such as Type 42, Type 57, NEMA 17, and NEMA 23.
