SyRen Single 50A DC Motor Driver

The SyRen Single 50A DC Motor Driver is a high-power, synchronous regenerative motor controller designed for brushed DC motors. Operating across 6V to 30V nominal with up to 100A peak current capability, it is suited to robotics hobbyists, combat robotics builders, and automation makers.

High-power brushed motor drive

The driver supplies a single brushed DC motor with up to 50A continuously and can handle peak currents of 100A for several seconds. It supports operating voltages from 6V to 30V nominal, with a 33.6V absolute maximum.

Synchronous regenerative braking

Synchronous regenerative topology recharges connected batteries whenever the motor decelerates or reverses. This system also enables rapid stopping and swift directional changes for agile robot response.

Flexible control interfaces

You can command the motor using analog voltage, RC signals, simplified serial, or packetised serial. Operating modes are configured via onboard DIP switches, eliminating loose jumpers.

Integrated BEC and lithium protection

A built-in 5V BEC delivers power directly to an external microcontroller or RC receiver. The built-in lithium cutoff mode protects lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery packs from over-discharge.

Ultrasonic switching and protection

Transistors switch at 32kHz for silent motor operation without audible coil whine. Comprehensive overcurrent and thermal protection safeguard the driver against accidental stalls and heavy loads.

Solderless setup and applications

Screw terminal connectors allow you to wire and deploy your hardware without soldering. The board is suitable for combat robots up to 80lb, general robots up to 250lb, ride-on electric vehicles, conveyors, and pumps.
