Description

The Study Pack of HUSKYLENS for micro:bit is an educational expansion kit designed to teach artificial intelligence and machine vision to learners aged 8 to 19. It pairs with the HuskyLens AI sensor and BBC micro:bit to introduce image recognition through interactive, hands-on programming. Please note that the micro:bit board and HUSKYLENS sensor are not included.

The kit includes 28 physical cards covering human faces, colours, barcodes, QR codes, labels, and tracking objects. These allow students to systematically experiment with all eight built-in recognition functions of the HuskyLens.

Sensors and interactive hardware modules

Seven external hardware accessories are included: a micro:bit IO extender, a 9g micro servo, an RGB LED strip, a voice recorder, a vibration motor, a bistable switch, and a 3W speaker. These modules allow students to build automated physical responses like gate unlocking and audio alerts.

A comprehensive tutorial provides 12 chapters comprising 25 individual maker projects. Students explore real-world AI applications such as pet feeders, magic music mirrors, helmet detection monitors, and AI camera traps.
