SHT20 I2C Temperature & Humidity Sensor (Waterproof Probe)

This SHT20 I2C sensor combines a factory-calibrated Sensirion sensing chip with a rugged waterproof probe for accurate ambient monitoring. Operating across 3.3V and 5V logic levels, it is an ideal choice for makers, students, and educators building weather stations, agricultural monitors, and IoT automation projects.

Dual waterproof probe design

The probe housing provides dual waterproof protection and anti-condensation resistance, safeguarding the internal electronics in high-moisture environments. It measures 73 mm by 17 mm and weighs 44 g for easy integration into outdoor enclosures or soil-adjacent fixtures.

High-precision environmental sensing

Using Sensirion CMOSens technology, the sensor records relative humidity across 0 to 100% RH with ±3% RH accuracy and temperatures from -40 to 125 °C with ±0.3 °C accuracy. An internal digital processing unit and A/D converter deliver stable, drift-resistant data with an 8-second humidity response time.

Integrated support circuitry

Built-in 10k pull-up resistors and a 0.1 uF filter capacitor allow you to connect the sensor directly to microcontrollers like Arduino without external balancing components. It operates smoothly on either 3.3V or 5V power rails.

Simple I2C pinout

Communication is handled over standard I2C via dedicated colour-coded lead wires: red for VCC, green for GND, blue or black for SDA, and yellow or white for SCL.

Each unit comes with one SHT20 temperature and humidity sensor waterproof probe and four 7.8-inch female-to-female jumper wires for quick breadboard and header hookup.
