The RS485 Wind Speed Transmitter is a professional meteorological instrument designed to measure horizontal wind speeds from 0 to 32.4m/s with an accuracy of ±0.3m/s. Built with a rugged aluminium alloy housing and Modbus communication, it is ideal for students, hobbyists, and engineers deploying outdoor environmental monitoring systems.

Accurate low-inertia hall sensing

The low-inertia anemometer uses quality bearings and an internal Hall sensor with an axle magnet to detect subtle breezes, featuring a low start-up wind speed between 0.2 and 0.4m/s across a 0 to 32.4m/s measurement range.

Rugged die-cast aluminium housing

The body and wind cups are manufactured from precision die-cast aluminium alloy with a plastic-sprayed surface finish. This construction provides high structural strength, water resistance, high-temperature tolerance, and corrosion resistance.

RS485 Modbus communication

The sensor transmits data via an RS485 interface using the standard Modbus protocol, offering high noise immunity and long signal transmission distances. It operates on a wide 7V to 24V DC input supply.

Protected military-grade connector

Equipped with a corrosion-resistant military plug and an included 2.5m connection cable, the transmitter ensures protected internal circuitry and dependable outdoor service life.
