Description
This industrial-grade soil sensor delivers real-time monitoring of soil temperature, moisture, and electrical conductivity over MODBUS-RTU via RS485. Housed in a waterproof IP68 enclosure with a wide 5V to 30V input range, it is ideal for smart agriculture projects, greenhouse automation, and environmental monitoring with microcontrollers like Arduino.
Industrial MODBUS-RTU interface
The sensor communicates over an RS485 bus using standard MODBUS-RTU protocol for robust data transmission over long distances. It easily pairs with an Arduino Uno via a TTL-to-RS485 expansion board for quick automation setup.

Rugged 316 stainless steel probe
Constructed with corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel electrodes and sealed in black flame-retardant epoxy resin, the sensor resists rust, salts, and electrolysis. Its IP68 waterproof rating ensures reliable performance during long-term soil burial.

Built-in automatic temperature compensation
Electrical conductivity readings feature memory-based automatic temperature compensation spanning 0°C to 50°C. This maintains consistent measurement accuracy across changing environmental conditions and soil temperatures.
Proper installation and soil management
Tracking moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity helps prevent under-watering, root hypoxia, and salinity-induced nutrient lockout. The compact 123 x 45 x 15 mm form factor allows straightforward insertion directly into crop beds or potting substrates.
