Description
The RS485 Industrial Water Quality Residual Chlorine Sensor is an industrial-grade probe designed for continuous water quality monitoring and disinfection management. Operating over RS485 ModBus-RTU, it is ideal for makers, engineers, and educators building automated IoT water treatment and aquaculture systems. With IP68 waterproofing and pre-set factory calibration, it delivers dependable chlorine concentration data straight out of the box.
Accurate residual chlorine detection
The sensor measures hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite ion concentrations across a range of 0 to 10 mg/L with 0.01 mg/L resolution and ±5%FS accuracy. It delivers reliable water quality readings with a rapid response time of under 30 seconds and a repeatability error of ±0.05 mg/L.

Standard RS485 ModBus-RTU connectivity
Featuring an RS485 interface using the standard ModBus-RTU protocol, the unit connects directly to industrial IoT controllers, Arduino development boards, and LoRaWAN networks. This ensures straightforward integration into remote telemetry and automated dosing setups.

Submersible IP68 waterproof construction
Built with corrosion-resistant plastic and rated for pressures up to 0.6 MPa, the sensor has an IP68 waterproof rating for prolonged continuous underwater submersion. It operates across a 10 to 30V DC supply with low 0.2W power consumption and includes a 5-metre connection cable.

Factory calibration and electrode care
Every unit arrives factory-calibrated, removing the need for secondary calibration prior to installation. It includes a 100ml bottle of 3.3mol/L KCl protective solution and a protective mesh to maintain probe longevity and measurement consistency.
Versatile water management applications
The sensor is suited for monitoring municipal tap water, drinking water purification plants, and swimming pool disinfection systems. It is equally effective for water safety compliance in smart agriculture and commercial aquaculture environments.
