Description
The RS485 Industrial-Grade Water Electrical Conductivity Sensor is an all-in-one probe engineered for continuous, accurate water quality monitoring in demanding environments. Featuring an electrode constant of K=10, it measures electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity, and temperature over an industrial RS485 ModBus-RTU interface. It is ideal for makers, researchers, and educators deploying automated sensing in hydroponics, aquaculture, and environmental IoT systems.
Multi-parameter water quality measurement
Featuring an electrode constant of K=10, the sensor measures electrical conductivity from 10 to 20000 μS/cm with an accuracy of ±1%FS and a resolution of 1 μS/cm. It also provides automatic conversion outputs for total dissolved solids up to 13400 ppm and salinity up to 11476 ppm.

RS485 and ModBus-RTU communication
The sensor communicates over an RS485 serial interface using the standard ModBus-RTU protocol, operating from a wide 10V to 30V DC power supply with a low 0.4W power consumption. It is compatible with Arduino development boards and LoRaWAN modules for straightforward integration into local and remote telemetry networks.

Automatic temperature compensation and calibration
An integrated temperature sensor delivers automatic temperature compensation across -20°C to +60°C, maintaining reliable readings despite shifting thermal conditions. The probe is pre-calibrated at the factory and includes a 100ml bottle of 12880 μS/cm calibration solution for routine maintenance via register settings.

Submersible IP68 industrial construction
Enclosed in corrosion-resistant plastic with an integrated probe and housing design, the unit features an IP68 waterproof rating and a pressure resistance of 0.6 MPa. A generous 5-metre cable allows for deep, prolonged submersion in tanks, reservoirs, and natural waterways.
Versatile environmental and agricultural applications
With a response time of under one second, the sensor is well suited for real-time nutrient control in hydroponics, aquatic life monitoring in fisheries, and drinking water treatment checks. Its rugged build and standard protocol support also make it suitable for large-scale agricultural irrigation monitoring.
